White Death 2007

The mid-south is about to get hit with a slight winter storm tonight starting around 8pm. The powers that be are estimating somewhere in the ballpark of about 3 inches; give or take. Now, for those of you kind readers north of the Mason Dixon line might be asking yourselves.... Who cares? Well, let me tell ya it is utter chaos down here. The two salt trucks (in all of TN) are already out and about and the grocery stores are packed with obsessed suburbanite mothers grabbing all the milk, eggs and bread that they can get their hands on. So, as usual nothing will come of this and life will return to normal by this time Thursday. However, to celebrate White Death 2007, Drew is making a fire and I am planning on cuddling up to it and working my way through a better part of a bottle of wine. Who needs french toast, anyway????

In other news, Drew and I are leaving in ten days for HI and I can barely contain the excitement. (Besides, the initial fear of crashing somewhere over the Pacific and being eaten by a whale.) It will be a great trip and I really need one, ADT busts my ass!

Peace out, and if you don't hear from me in a few days.... send the calvary.

Exhaustion!

This weekend we painted our den and if I must say, it looks fantastic! The color is Wild West Green and looks like an olive color. We still have to finish the plantation blinds and our doors but other than that we are done. The next big thing is our kitchen, but we are planning on doing that this September.

This Saturday is the Bob Seger concert in Memphis and we are going with our friends Tom and Sam. We are planning on going downtown early in the evening to get dinner and hang out b4 the concert. More importantly in 11 days we will be in Hawaii and I am so in need of a vacation it isn't funny. I plan on sitting by the pool and lounging for 8 days, WooHoo.

Batman, Robin and Batgirl

So, last night was the State of the Union, it was supposed to start at 8:00 it did not begin until 8:13. There were 62 applauds (34 of them standing ovations). Bush talked about all sorts of stuff but none of that is important. Heres what is....

  • That bitch Pelosi is a crazy robot. I have never in my life seen anyone blink as many times as that woman. She sat behind him blinked and chewed on the side of her mouth for 42 minutes, WTF.
  • Cheney, on the other hand was fantastic! He was blatantly not paying attention to Bush and instead stared at the Hottie in the Pink skirt for the duration of the speech, stopping 1/2 way through to pop a pill.
  • Obama at one point appeared to be flipping the Pres off.
  • I am almost positive that Teddie Kennedy was drunk.

All in all another great speech by my main man W.

Canadia Bound

Well, for all of you people living under a rock these past few days, Hillary "I'm really a man" Clinton has decided to run for President. This little bit of news ruined my weekend and quite possibly the next four years of my life.
However, it did remind me of something.... a long time ago, when some of the high profile Democrats (a.k.a The Crybabies) made idiotic statements that they would move to Canada if Bush was elected Pres. Now, as we all know Bush, in fact, won. Alec Baldwin, Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon are still here and that makes me kinda pissy. So to the three of you I say this...
"Get the F*ck out" Don't want you here anyway! America is too cool for crybabies like you.

The Bears are going to the Superbowl for the first time in over a decade and I think that's awesome. The main reason I rooted for them on Sunday was if they won there is a good possibility that I might hear the Superbowl Shuffle on the radio again. I had the tape as a kid but I can't seem to locate it. (Keith probably stole it like he does everything else of mine.) I think we all remember the Dukes of Hazzard lunchbox fiasco of 2005.

Happy Day

I realized this morning that I am only 2 weeks away from seeing the great Bob Seger again. Although, after that I will have to decide if I want to drive to Little Rock to see him, it is a big decision and one that I am torn on. I decided after Nashville that it would be unnecessary to travel the distance however, now I am faced with the realization that Feb 3rd will be the last time I see him... LIVE in Concert. So what to do, what to do.

I posted 2 pics of Annie from Xmas. Her Aunt Amy and Uncle Chris gave Annie her adorable little reindeer ears and I felt that this needed to be shared with the whole world....

I just got off the phone with my buddy Rick and he has informed me that I need to invest in a daytimer. I had managed to make plans for tonight with three different people, at three different places and at three separate times. That is fantastic! So, with the way I feel at the moment I don't want to do anything except lay on the couch, watch TV and veg out.

Have a great weekend, Biatches

I feel like CRAP

Okay - so last night we went out with our new bff's Tom and Sam to a bar that serves alcohol and you are never going to guess what happened. That's right, once again I managed to overserve myself. Now, the funny thing about this little pridicament is that I only had 4 beers okay pints, really and had something to eat, so what the F**k! Anyhoo....

Drew is hunting again this weekend and I am trying to do as little as possible no painting this weekend for me. Maybe the following weekend.

Which Golden Girl are You????

I have been visiting the Lifetime TV website lately and have been enjoying all of the Golden Girls trivia and all the endless fun info that they have on there about my most favoritest show.

Drew got back from TX on Sunday and unfortunately without a kill... but that's okay. We have two full weekends of Duck Hunting and, with the the weather taking a turn for the worse, I suspect that they might be Great weekends. In Drew's absence I managed to paint the hallway and the stairwell, I might add that during this whole process I did not injure myself once. Job well done, thank you very much! I did manage to hurt myself but that is another story and not pertinent to this one... thanks again Sam and Gary.

This weekend I am hoping to get the Den done and over with.... it is a bigger space and not as much G&^ Da&^ crown molding.

In less than a month we will be in Hawaii and a whole hell of a lot warmer than all you poor b*tches reading this blog. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. However, the plane ride over is still bothering me and I'm certain that I will get a blood clot and die b4 I get the chance to enjoy the rocky beaches of Hawaii... but that's the pessimist in me.

Also, as a note to all my buddies out there that read this...
I have said this on more than one occasion and it still stands and that is the Golden Rule
"I don't care what your opinion is! If you want someone to know about your thoughts and mundane existence than get you own damn blog"

Peace out Biatches and have a splendid day

There isn't a wearable candy out there that tastes good.

My buddy Gary explained that to me at lunch yesterday and quite frankly it was so ludicrous that I felt it beared repeating. I think we all know that candy necklaces rock and if it was socially acceptable for a 30 year old to be wearing them.... I would.

On to something different. I have decided that while Drew is in Texas hunting his little heart out, that I would be home painting my little heart out. Dutch-Boy here I come... wish me luck everyone b/c ya know this aint ending pretty.

So far I am having problems with two of my resolutions. 1 - The "quit" smoking thing. A lot harder than it looks, especially when you are drinking a beer. 2 - The whole being nice to people is a crock of shit and completely impossible for me to achieve. I am sorry, if I let you down. There now everyone knows that I am not perfect... I feel better getting that off of my chest.

Peace out ladies and gents....
